【 Summary 】

At the request of ASICS Corporation, Kobe Digital Labo Inc.(KDL) developed the TUNEGRID-Cube, an inexpensive, lightweight, small BLE sensor that does not require battery replacement, which allows anyone, from children to the elderly, to record and utilize their activities.
It was confirmed that the number of steps and location information can be visualized, and the user’s activity and activity level can be visualized.
KDL proposed a system from data acquisition to visualization and developed a receiver to receive information from the sensors.
KDL was also in charge of building a system to store and visualize the acquired data in Microsoft Azure.
The team conducted several demonstration tests to see if the system would actually work as expected and proceeded with development while making repeated improvements by combining ASICS’s expertise in exercise and health with KDL’s digital technology.
In the future, the system will be deployed in a wide range of sports and health promotion activities. KDL will also continue its research and development with a view to applying the system to such areas as monitoring and disaster prevention.
